What Have We Here ?
Designed by Milan-based designer and professor, Alberto Meda, manufactured by Vitra, the Physix Chair was created for Vitra’s celebrated Office Collection nearly a decade ago. Since its inception, the Physix has been a steadfast favorite amongst numerous industries, from creatives to engineers. The inspiration for the Physix lies behind the idea of a continuous seat-shell stretched between two supports, offering a tactile and comfortable seat with maximum room for movement, for those with a day of work ahead of them.
How to Use It ?
Three main ideas take root behind the design of the Physix: flexible frame construction,so leaning and swiveling feel natural and seamless, an elastic cover, for sensory comfort, and a stabilizing mechanism in the form of a secure base. Being part of the Office Collection, the Physix is a natural choice for a home office or studio, as well as a professional office setting.
Why It Matters ?
Over half of the Physix’s materials are recycled, as well as 98% of the Physix being recyclable when fully separated. Comprised of recycled aluminum and recyclable thermoplastics, it is a true testament to the beauty of modern manufacturers that take ecology into account when producing works of furniture.
