What Have We Here ?

The Afshar are a semi-nomadic people who primarily reside in the mountainous landscape of Azerbaijan, Iran, or eastern Turkey. Known for their unique blend of Persian weaving techniques, as well as signature saturated blues and indigos, these sought-after carpets bring unrivaled craftsmanship into whatever space you choose. Labyrinthine patterns, much like a sprawling Mesopotamian ziggurat, are commonly used motifs; the maze-like twists and turns allow you to get lost in the piece much like a luxurious, fantastical compound.

How to Use It ?

Afshar carpets are seldom found in large scale sizes, making this piece a truly remarkable example of the craft. For this reason, we recommend unfurling this work in any frequented space, allowing it to shine as the focal point in an interior arrangement, or complement a previously crafted configuration.

Why It Matters ?

Afshar rugs and carpets are renowned for their consistently high-quality materials and craftsmanship along with their unique aesthetic. The use of wool thread and a tight flat-weave technique not only ensure this piece will last for ages to come, but that it keeps its integrity and look as resplendent as ever.
