What Have We Here ?

More than a century ago, skilled workers cut and shaped the wood of a pine tree in Maine into this sturdy yet charming table. Fading layers of paint attest to this furniture’s long, full, and American life. We recognize this piece has similarities to, and likely inspiration from, Shaker-style furniture — given its simplicity and time-tested use — but the charmingly carved legs show that it has a style entirely its own.

How to Use It ?

We love the evident spirit of this lovingly worn work. It’s size and character allow for use in really any setting — whether in a quaint apartment as an expandable dining or work table, given its leaves, or in a bedroom or bathroom to serve whatever purpose necessary.

Why It Matters ?

Purely by necessity, the makers of this table sourced, produced, and sold locally. In our modern, globalized economy, supply chains are complicated, making accountability, and thus sustainability, a fraught consideration. Today we must ask more questions, with regard to the goods and products we bring into our own homes, in order to police and protect the dwindling resources we have on our shared planet.
